How to Choose a Profile Colour: Lamination, RAL and Texture

From classic white to anthracite grey, stained oak and mirror gloss — the lamination catalogue is huge. A practical guide to picking what will last.

Lamination is a decorative film thermally bonded to the profile. Standard lifespan is 20+ years; premium "sensitive" or wood-texture films are slightly more delicate but show true wood grain at arm's length.

Dark colours absorb more heat — on south-facing elevations you may need reinforced steel inserts to prevent thermal deformation. Always check the manufacturer's recommendation for solar absorption (SD coefficient).

Match the colour to the sill, window reveal and facade accents. For renovations, bring a sample home for 48 hours and check at morning, noon and dusk light — colours shift more than people expect.
